What surprises me most are that out of 12 built there are 2 survivors. _________________ Various Rootes Vehicles.

One in six is a remarkable survival rate, especially for such an early car.
But what's even more remarkable is that Richard Stevens built his series of cars in 1898 apparently inspired by the companies formed by Henry Ford and Ransom Olds - the Ford company was started in 1903, and the Olds company in 1901!
