Evening all, today's thrilling "in garage" upload sees much re-organisation, pushing around (A40, 4CV), re-discovery of long-lost bits and bobs, and random classic car musings.

In today's extra upload, info on the new OCC calendars for 2025. One features a selection of my favourite original b&w photos of post-war British cars, the other recent images of classic British lorries. More info in the following vid.

This weekend's upload is of a very sunny day at Gaydon, specifically the 2024 Old Ford Rally at which many of Dagenham's finest were on display. One highlight was a mass gathering of V8 Pilots.

An Austin Pathfinder has found its way to OCC HQ, having lived with its previous owner since 1953! Details and video now added to the following page on the main site.

Evening all, another "first visit" show for me this year was one up near St Helens called the Inglenook Classic, some interesting cars turned up for this well-supported morning meet.

Thanks for watching it!!

This evening's upload has a gallic theme, it begins with us out and about in the 4CV, then our visit to this year's Autos de France where some great oldies were spotted (including a rare Lancia Flavia saloon of all things).

Seeing those Morris cars was definitely nostalgic. Dad was originally a Morris/MG man. When, as a family, we had outgrown the M Type MG, we had a Morris 8 Series 1 tourer which Mother described as a "boat" compared to the Midget.! Dad still hankered after open top motoring and although he liked the Morris, he missed his little M Type MG. (Which still survives ).

Next came a Series 1 saloon followed by a Series E. Dad thought they were excellent cars and we travelled many, many miles in them.

Thanks for taking such time and care with that brilliant video.

If you want to see a lot of Morris cars it is well worth attending the Morris Register's National rally, usually early August in Nottinghamshire near Ollerton. See www.morrisfest.co.uk Plenty of 8's to see.

Glad I moved to Australia 63 years ago. Non of that awful freezing white stuff here in Melbourne.
Makes me remember going down Schools Hill in Cheadle Cheshire on my school bag because the bus driver did not want to have his bus stuck at the bottom as he turned round. They did not grit the roads in those days early in the morning.

My uncle crashed his old Brit motorcycle at the bottom of School's Hill, I'm not sure if it was brake failure, ice, or whatever, but he ended up in the stone wall. Turning right into School's Hill in my old green E83W pickup, I once had the passenger door fly open and the stuff on the passenger seat distribute itself across the road.

Today's video sees us load up the Dodge pickup with the old Austin pedal car & HJ's latest old bicycle, then head over to the last of this year's car meets at the Old Piggery Cafe at Combermere.

Yes, it's been a bit parky this week! We had about 4 inches of the stuff round here on Monday night, plus another half inch or so in the early hours this (Weds) morning. This was taken at around noon today, part way though me exhuming my Mum's 2008 Suziki Grand Vitara 3 door (almost a classic itself these days!), ready to give it a run to the shops to keep it active. And yes, it was a bit chilly on the old mits doing that!

My recent(ish) visit to Leyland and the excellent British Commercial Vehicle Museum is the subject of this evening's YT upload. Plenty of stunning early lorries, PSVs, vans and flatbeds, plus - outside - a gathering of classic cars which also happened to be taking place on the same day.
