You probably all know by now that I have liking for the Mark 6 Bentley; for no other reason than these early Post War cars are so well made and are still affordable (just).
Some 4000 cars were built with the Standard steel body...but this Park Ward coupe is one of the more expensive and rare Coachbuilt versions.

Of course, the biggest risk in buying a dismantled car is that there could be some vital parts missing. Given there are some bidders prepared to take that gamble, I think it will be interesting to see just how far they are prepared to go.! |

Will be a nice car when finished. I imagine it will take some time and money to restore, but will be worth it. _________________ 1938 Morris 8 Ser II Coupe Utility (Pickup)

The bids are still coming in. I would have dropped out by now. No rear bumper and o'riders would cost an arm and a leg to get made...and no patterns to copy either. |

I wish I had the space!
Jean has put her foot down with a firm hand and insisted that I finish the MG before buying "any more junk".
(I am thinking I would have finished it by now if I had not had to install a new kitchen. ) |

The chassis and running gear alone are worth that figure.!
I would not be surprised to see the Park Ward body set aside in favour of a so called "Special"....probably a 4 1/2 lite Le Mans replica. That would be a shame, really.
Alternatively, it might get made into a Park Ward convertible. They fetch very high prices these days. |
