Not an unreachable price, good for a rolling resto, or an oily rag, a bit different to the usual Morris Minors?

Needs Webasto roof sorting, and headlining...I hate droopy headlinings, and my back won't stand the pain of doing a fix... _________________ Dellow Mk2, 1951 built, reg 1952.

Hmmm I do not like the look of the interior. Seats and bench look odd, from a Jaguar maybe? Old and discoloured, it should look inviting but is not. Not much of luxury to be found, crank windows, no tinted windows. Good doors are a definitive plus, but the frilly wheelarches are not. As is the rusty rear bumper.
The chrome wheels should be shiny but I doubt they will polish up good.
Such a fine tourer in the summer would need the aircon as well, but presumably that goes with the 4.2 whereas this car is a 2.8. The biggest let down is that cheap sunroof. I rather would have a proper sliding steel sunroof, but even better is no sunroof at all! So on those many accounts, no it is not for me. _________________ a car stops being fun when it becomes an investment |

| I nearly bought a 2.8 Daimler Jag back in the 1970s. Superficially it looked good so I asked my Father in Law's opinion. He was an auto electrician for a BL main dealer and knew these cars well. By the time he had finished complaining about it, I had lost my enthusiasm.! |

It does, however, run & drive quite nicely.
But what does one expect from a running & driving old car for ?2 1/2 K?
I'd rather have wind-up windows than electric any day......on a car that old.
Wheelarch panels are supplied.....although not a job I'd relish either, but not remotely undoable for me, either.
I've seen worse on an 8 year old Audi!!
The Webasto sunroof is an issue for me....possibly came as original?
The headlining is also an issue for me..I hate fixing that sort of thing up.
For me, buggah the spit & polish, I'd be looking to do a Claude Greengrass jobbie on it, and use the damned thing every day ....providing I can afford the petrol to go in it?
Apart from the roof issue[how easy is it to fix a webasto sunroof?]....it looks to me to be a sound user.....which could even live more or less outdoors. _________________ Dellow Mk2, 1951 built, reg 1952.
