Having some time on my hands at the moment I thought I would Google Earth (my old stomping ground of) Sunningdale, Berkshire. I was astonished to see that the ancient garage of Sunningdale Motors is being transformed into a 'Koenigsegg' hyper car dealership.

I used to live and work in the village and remember the old garage as a peculiar mix of day to day car repairs coupled with a small showroom where they displayed Rolls Royce and other up market cars. They used to service my Lancia Beta (firms car) and seemed always to have plenty of work on.

I doubt the 'Art Deco' frontage will be much missed by Villagers unless they have an interest in architecture... but loosing yet another local facility probably will be.




Redevelopment into a two story showrooms is well under way.
