Particularly concerning certain clutch slave cylinders....where the bleeder gets positioned , not exactly at the 'highest ' point. | MGA/B's clutch slaves are like that! |

Thanks...I suspected I wasn't going gaga!
I wondered if there was a screw-in replacement for the bleeder on the slave, leading to a pipe with led to another bleeder located higher up in the engine bay ? {Easier to get at without the crawling under process?] _________________ Dellow Mk2, 1951 built, reg 1952.

I remember having a Renault which had to have a bleed valve at the highest point on the heater hose run because it was way above the filler cap, expansion tank and even the top of the radiator. _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.

We had a model of locally assembled Dodges out here circa about 1960 that had brakes notorious for being impossible to bleed, and the reason ended up being an air trap under the brake light pressure switch which was mounted on top of the fluid line and under the floor. Once the problem was found out about, all you had to do was get someone to hold the pedal down and crack the switch until the air came out and all was fine. |
