Sorry, I was thinking the bank holiday was the weekend after next, not this coming one! The joys of being retired! 
I've been too busy washing and polishing cars this week to pay much attention to it! I did my daily driver today, which I think is the first time it's been washed since late Feb, just goes to show how dry it's been round here, as normally I wouldn't have been able to get anything out of the boot without getting covered in road dirt after a couple of months without washing it! |

The meeting at the Old Piggery Cafe has apparently been changed from September 21st to September 28th, which means it doesn't clash with the Cholmondeley Castle event any more.

I've been to Malpas Yesteryear Rally this afternoon, it's on again tomorrow. Slightly outside Cheshire, the VSCC meeting is at Loton Park this weekend.

More "not quite Cheshire" events this weekend - North Rode (oh, maybe that is Cheshire) on Saturday and Sunday, and Trentham Gardens (which isn't) on Sunday.

I've got two this weekend, "Vaux Valves" at Oulton Park on Saturday, which is basically a static gathering of Vauxhall clubs with some racing going on around it, and the Cholmondeley Castle show on Sunday.
Vaux Valves has been moving around the MSV circuits, starting down south somewhere and at Donington for the last couple of years, so I expect we'll get this year and next at Oulton, then off somewhere else.

| They had a nice dry, sunny, day for the Cholmondeley Classic Car show today, after all that rain we had yesterday, so hopefully it was a good turn-out and audience. Too much on to attend myself, but hope all who did enjoyed themselves. |

Yes, it was a good day. We were in a nice spot by a tree - the other side of it there was a bit of a cold wind. It was certainly an improvement on the Saturday weather at Oulton Park where it rained pretty much all day, to the extent that display cars started leaving around 1pm, and I was the last off our stand at around 2.15. I was told that the event was abandoned around thirty minutes later.
Next Sunday is either the Old Piggery, or the Mainwaring, I haven't decided which to go to yet, weather permitting.

Not a massive turnout yesterday at The Mainwaring, and I saw quite a few going the other way towards The Old Piggery. Next one I know of locally is the Piggery, back to the third Sunday in October, and the Cholmondeley Arms on October 26th. I think there's one at Apedale a bit earlier - I haven't been there for quite some time so I might try to get to it if the weather is decent.
