I have put this on before- Whether it was before or after her test is immaterial because she failed that one. _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.

Maybe if she had learned to drive in something like the Minor Traveller behind the Jag she would have found it easier to pass her test?

Yes 'tis Burly Chassis herself. It was before she really hit the national scene and was still doing local gigs. _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.

You have suddenly made me feel very old!
Shirley Bassey is still with us at the age of 88.
Incidentally, she never did pass her driving test. |

Obviously Diana Dors with her Cadilac.
Also the famous Delahaye.
Diana and her Husband Alan Lake had a property in Sunningdale (where I used to live) She was well liked in the village and would stop and chat with absolutely no 'side' despite her stardom. Incidentally, their house had a fantastically lavish swimming pool.
Sadly it all ended in tragedy. |

I'm living in Swindon and some of the younger residents in my warden sheltered complex remember Diana Mary Fluck from her early days as a local girl returning for local events.
I say younger but then I'm 83 and no longer able to drive "legally" my fellow residents vary between late 50s and one lady of 85. _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.

Shirley Bassey was born the same day as my wife. 8-01-1937 but my wife is in a nursing home with Alzheimers. I am still at home like a bachelor but still driving etc. _________________ 1938 Morris 8 Ser II Coupe Utility (Pickup)

Songwriters Les Reed and Geoff Stephens with their respective Espadas. Les lived in the Council house opposite to My Dad in their early days.

As a young lad, I was taken to Adam Faith's wedding by Les Reed in his metallic bronze Mercedes 600 Pullman! (sorry, no photos on line).
Singer Adam Faith married dancer Jackie Irving in 1967.
He had a serious car accident.
Here he is in a wheel chair taking it easy!

His Cadilac must have run out of gas. That was probably the "spare" in the boot! |
