 CLASSIC CAR RUN AND SHOW
 SUPPORTING Chelmsford CHESS, and the FHBVC National “Drive- It” Day
 SUNDAY 20th APRIL 2008
 Starting from Lookers Toyota in Chelmsford, where coffee will be served, there will be a 30 mile country tour through the Essex countryside, arriving at the Meadow Croft Garden Centre in time for lunch.
 Cars in the static display will be judged
 You must return an entry form with a £5.00 donation direct to the charity.  Call 01702 520220, or email Motordata@aol.com with your postal address and an entry form will be sent to you.
 
 CLASSIC CAR SHOW AND PICNIC IN THE PARK AT THE
 WEALD PARK COUNTRY FESTIVAL BRENTWOOD
 14th and 15th JUNE 2008
 Attractions include, Lumberjack Show, Axe Racing, Pole Climbing, Local Crafts, WW2 display, Medieval re-enactment & working village, Vintage Tractors, Forestry Demonstrations, Childrens’ rides and lots more. Drivers are requested to pay £1.00 on arrival to help with the costs.  Overnight Camping is available, and classic caravans are particularly welcome.  ABRIDGE VILLAGE WEEKEND CLASSIC CAR DAY
 SATURDAY 21st JUNE 2008
 For the tenth year, the Saturday at this popular weekend village fair will be “Classic Car Day”.  All cars will be judged and winners and runners-up will receive attractive trophies. Admission is free for all entrants and their passengers.
 During the day there will be plenty for the family to see and do. Attractions will include: antique and collectors fair, produce stalls, craft fair, fun fair and rides for the children.  Call 01702 520220, or email Motordata@aol.com with your postal address and an entry form will be sent to you.
 
 CLASSICS ON THE COMMON
 The Horse and Groom Galleywood Common, Chelmsford
 WEDNESDAY 9th JULY 7.00pm
 An informal meeting of all types of Classic and Vintage Cars. Sports, American, Commercial, Motor Cycles. All are welcome—just come along.
 The Horse and Groom is a small country Public House on the Common with a large parking area.  It opens at 6.00 pm serving a large selection of bar meals and real ales. Arrive early if you wish to eat.
 To help with our planning, please phone either 01702 520220 or 01245 268157 leaving your name and vehicle details.  Then just turn up.
 
 Directions:  From the A12 Chelmsford By-Pass take the B1007 Billericay to Chelmsford road. Head towards Chelmsford for a quarter mile across the Common, turn left at the traffic lights into Margaretting Road. After 500 yards turn right into a small lane for 200 yards and park where directed.
 
 
 CLASSICS BY THE SEA
 At THE STAR P.H. –STEEPLE
 WEDNESDAY 6TH AUGUST 2008 7.00PM
 An informal meeting of all types of Classic and Vintage vehicles.  All are welcome—just come along.
 The Star is a traditional country P.H. with a large car park.  Opening at 6.00 serving real ales and a fish and chip supper that must be pre-booked at least 10 days before the night..
 To help with our planning, please phone either 01702 520220 or 01245 268157 leaving your name, vehicle details and the number of fish suppers required.  Then just turn up.
 
 Directions:  From the A12, Chelmsford by-pass, take junction 18 , A414 to Maldon. Pass through Danbury, at Woodham Mortimer roundabout straight on, B1010 to Purleigh, at crossroads turn right B1010 to Cold Norton, at mini roundabout turn left B1018 to Latchingdon, at mini roundabout, straight on to Mayland and Steeple.  Star PH is at the far end of the village on right. (about 14 miles from A12)
 From South Woodham Ferrers take B1012/B1010/B1018.
 
 CLASSICS IN MOTION
 ROYAL GUNPOWDER MILLS, WALTHAM ABBEY
 9th and 10th AUGUST 2008
 Set in 175 acres of parkland with 21 buildings of major historic importance, the RGM mixes history, science and beautiful surroundings. Established in the 17th century it has a very important place in the history of Great Britain. For full details visit their website at www.royalgunpowdermills.com
 The arena for the display is over 1000ft long and is surrounded by a made-up road and throughout both days there will be themed cavalcades of the vehicles present.  This will provide visitors with a unique spectacle of classics in motion. Overnight camping is available and classic caravans are welcome.
