Hi All

Just found and joined this messageboard today so thought I'd say hello.

I'm fairly new to classic cars and own a 1957 Ford Sidevalve Pop based 'Special'.

Are there any other sidevalve owners out there on this forum? If so what do you own?

Glad you found us ok Smile

I've a history of owning E83Ws in varying states of decrepitude, and have also owned a few other sidevalve Fords along the way, including some Specials (eg Ashley 1172). Look forward to reading about your car!! is that a Siva in your avatar?

Yes that is a Siva on my Avatar and its also what my Ford special is.

Hi Drdean

There are a number of other sidevalve owners on this forum - including a Tornado owner.

I have a Watford Cheetah (1959) and, although not a special as such, I also have a Morgan three-wheeler fitted with an 8hp engine (933cc) of 1934 vintage, so an early Y type.

Welcome to the forum and lets see if we can get our own special area!

can't say I'm a fan as such, although I do have fond memories of watching Dr Who in the Tom Baker era. I'm told an Aunt, somewhere in the family, married William Hartnell, or was it his brother Norman? either way, it was one of the two Hartnells Smile
