Never a truer word written! Very Happy

Although I'm going to miss the Pamper nappy adverts interrupting the final dramatic moments of a race. Rolling Eyes

Wonder if it will still be padded out with hours of mindless juvenile waffling
before the practice or racing begins? I hope not. Confused

We've been thinking about that here also but if the racing doesn't start getting better we won't need a tv. Sad

We already have HD satellite service (Direct TV) so need a HD-TV to get the full effect.
Been looking at Sony 37" to 46" screens, plasma and digital. Still undecided and need to learn more.
Any suggestions?

Can't really help stuchamp. Is it me or do these really big TVs look quite blurry and indistinct when you stand fairly close to them? whenever I look at them in the supermarket the picture always seems a bit blurred and no better than our old normal telly. Perhaps they aren't set up properly? plus this fad for widescreen simply makes people look fat Smile

The ones we have been looking at are super clear from any distance. The projection type tv's seem to blur though.
I sit about 8' away and the wife is about 12' away so we're probably leaning toward a 37". The 46" is probably too large for our size living room but then again, I like the big screen theater feel. Surround sound is also on the list! Very Happy

Hi
Don't forget to go on here and get your vote in for the return of The Chain as well.

Turn your speakers up and relive it as well.

Plasma tend to be an easier picture on the eye than digital, meaning you can watch it for longer without getting tired. Unfortunately, Plasma TVs need to be recharged every once in a while & it's not cheap.
Projection screens are great if you buy a decent one - the lens will determine what minimum size room it can be used in, but again, the bulbs have a life span & are not cheap.

Hi

I have allways wanted a projector, to project onto my wall, or a pull down screen infront of my window!

Seem very dear though!

Cheers

Should we not have a whip round and send Ferrari a bit of petrol money?

If you've seen the sports news, you'll all know what I am talking about...
