having just sat through the wonderful Gumball Rally film, I'm pondering what non-essential body parts I can sell to fund a Cobra replica Smile

Well Rick, they say "Great minds think alike".....
I was going to say a Cobra, but you beat me to it!
Sexy little cars, aren`t they? I fancy a blue one with black interior and white stripes.

A Cobra would be in my top 5 but a 1963 Corvette Stingray would do nicely! Very Happy

De Tomaso Pantera GTS or a '68 Iso Grifo.

Or both. Laughing

When the Pantera was first introduced,
I was looking one over in Detroit, Michigan. I was stunned by the sticker on the dashboard...

WARNING! Keep windows closed at speeds in excess of 180 MPH!

A friend had a Smart car and loved it, but it was really too small for him. So when he built his Model T rod, he got a set of seats from a Smart car and fitted those to the rod. He says that they are most comfy seats he's ever sat on.

Bit off topic, but .......

Dont forget the Smart Roadster as well...I believe that its going to be put in production again, as I have been told that another company have bought the rights. Dont know how true that is, but it could be fun!

i'm currently brainstorming a plan for a homebuilt Mercer or Stutz Bearcat homage vehicle. i'm considering late '50's pickup truck running gear on a scratchbuilt frame with engine/gearbox moved back appropriate distance. since it won't be a direct copy i would use a honking truck 6 cylinder engine and an overdrive gearbox. just a pipe dream for the moment...
