Sorry it's rather short notice, but if you have Freeview then there will be a programme about classic sports car racing on Dave at 7pm. I saw the end of it earlier, I'm not sure if this one is a repeat, but this afternoon's one was at a street circuit in Portugal, with some good in-car shots, even if the background music was a bit obtrusive.

interesting, unfort we're not on Freeview here Sad when we were over there last year we saw signs for a historic racing bash, due to be held the day after we came back Mad

Hi

Just seen your post and switched on a cobra racing.

Right off to watch it now! Well the last 10 mins or so!

Cheers

Hi

I think it was a repeat of what you describe, some nice sounds from the last 10 minutes, will have to watch out for the repeat, if there is another one! The lister Chevy(?) sounded nice, but they were rowing about oil on the track when I switched it on.

Thanks for the tip off!

Cheers

Dave

I managed to catch some of this & was drooling....

Uncle Joe would've loved it. All cars were pre '66. The Lotus 11 looked a smashing little car!

J-R, you are probably right, I would have loved it.

In spite of the fact that there is a big car culture here, its very rare to see ANY kind of motor sport on the box.

Time to resurrect this thread as GT Racer, I think a repeat of the earlier ones is starting on Dave (Freeview) in a few minutes time and this evening at 6 o'clock BST there is a programme about the Goodwood Revival on ITV4 (yet another of the freeview channels Sad ) At least I'll be able to watch them, even though I won't be able to record them on my state of the ark video recorder Smile
