I also noticed a jump in my total. I`m not sure, but I think they are now counting all feedbacks, not just "unique users". For example, if I bought 3 items from you, I could leave you 3 feedback comments. But only one would count toward your total, you only get one per username.
But now, all 3 would count, one for each auction number. Again, this is just a guess.

Yes, Ebay changed the way feedback was counted.
The old system meant that those people who sold to regular customers were being penalised by feedback from that person not being counted.
The new system includes those important customers.
There is no better mark of statisfaction than a customer who happily purchases again and again.

Does anyone know if the multiple purchases feedback increase is only for recent items, as my feedback has not increased?
What I think is diabolical is that you cannot now leave negative feedback for buyers, but buyers can leave a neg for sellers! Seems crazy to me.
I sold 20 items last Sunday week and I am still awaiting payment for four of them, and so even if the sales do go through I cannot leave a neg feedback. If I leave a positive but say they were slow to pay, I am sure they will give me a negative, so Ebay is further biassed towards buyers. _________________ Brian

Hi
Mine neither, ebay is so bad at looking after it's members it is unreal, I have had countless rude messages off there service team, but they have the monopoly on the area of online auctions so do what they like!
Well that has made me feel a little better!
Cheers

On the other site old gto and I participate on there's a lot of grief over these revisions. Quite a few members there can't grasp the rhyme or reason how it is now calculated, some mentioning that they actually have a bigger negative feedback than they had last week, but didn't do anything that would increase it.
From what I read eBay has new owners or a new CEO and of course we're seeing the "new broom" scenario. There is also a comment that ebay now wants to deal more with "new" goods and loose the "flea-market" image of used stuff - not sure that's a wise idea.
There is also comment they've changed some of the commission charge rates in favour of the company.

Just been watching the news... You can buy a forged HGV licence on ebay for £250. Terrifying! perhaps they'd do better to sort this sort of thing out instead. |

I hope they don`t! I buy a lot on ebay, and ALL of it is the odd or unusual stuff that can not be found in stores, or even at swap meets or flea markets.
I think a move like that would be the death of Ebay! _________________ "The only thing I`m sure of.....is that I`m not sure of anything!" |
