Hi Rick
well this go more complicated than I had imagined! I found the steering columns which I knew had the wheels attached, but was a bit surprised to find the wheels were different!, one has solid spokes the other has wire ones, anyway after a bit of digging I found out the wire ones were fitted to the later cars (my 39 has solid spokes). so here they are;
the wire spoke one has no cracks but need some cleaning / tidying up, the other one has some cracks so probably no better than your mates.
