Now that Renault saloon (would it be rated 12hp here?) certainly brings back memories for me. My grandfather bought a 1937 model just after the war. The only difference from the one depicted was the back; I believe the spare wheel slotted into a compartment leaving an elegant almost scalloped (at the bottom) boot.
I remember it being comfortable, roomy and reliable, although sometimes difficult to start. The clank-clank of the starting handle and my grandfathers cursing still sticks in my memory.
