|
|
I'm a relatively recent convert to Sat Nav units because being a technophobe its my other half who buys the electronic stuff, then beats me with a big stick to use them!
We were holidaying in the North-East and one evening as I "thumbed through the Sat Nav pages" I found a Motor Museum I'd never heard of in a little town near to where we were staying. Next moring, after a hours drive we ended up in a council housing estate thinking - "Where on earth is thing taking us!?", but as we emerged out of a back-lane, there across the street from us was this gem -
The collection isn't large, but its interesting -
And here's a mystery car, anybody know what it is (I hadn't a clue until I got around the back and saw the manufacturer's name) -
And before anybody asks - I have no idea where it is because "I was only following orders" and didn't write the location down - any suggestions? |

I've started to despair over gps systems, at least the one I have. The first time I gave it a go, it tried to direct me into someones drive, and it wasnt me making a mistake, there werent any other roads for miles.
Today it totally flipped out, apparently my home is now somewhere in France.... |

Wait 'till you try out all the voice options - I particularly enjoyed the German lady ...................... "You vill turn vight NOW!"
We took it over to Florida with us in March there UJ and with the "Florida" chip I bought off eBay it took us to places we didn't know even existed, Homasasa Springs, Yee Haw Junction and Frostproof were just three of the places we visited.
(Any ideas on my mystery car?)

I looked at it for ages and tried to find cars with similar doors and locks but absolutely nothing I could think of matched. It's a pretty ugly beast and big when compared to its neighbours. American ???

That mystery car: Reliant-Lucas Hybrid of about 1982. I don't think it got beyond the prototype stage, though.
Note to self: I must get myself a classic and stop wasting time reading articles on obscure cars
