I've always loved PR cabbed AEC's trucks, they just look so right to me.

Thanks for that great link,Penman.It even shows a pic of the AEC regal MKIV i used to drive(CTB) under the exports:).
A measure of the quality of these vehicles,they soldiered on till the late 70's.No.290 is now in a local transport museum,although I believe this is not the actual no.290.That suffered some unmentioned fate,and this vehicle was renumbered to represent the first of the 98 bought.
The photo showing the use of pram hooks on the front of 331 (the bane of the driver's life)was indeed a factory publicity shot.It is also reproduced in a large book about AEC I remember borrowing from the library.
