If I were asked to choose one or the other for £1000 I would agonise over the decision..... I think maybe the Guildford would win.... or maybe the Essex.... there's only the wife and me so the Guildford would be almost big enough..... but we could invite friends over if we had the Essex.... the lantern roof and lead light windows on the Guildford are appealing, eh? .
Geeeee, do I have to make a decision today

The essex is a super van and is virtualy unrestored the interior is in mahongy with the walls covered in silver damask. this caravan is owned by Paul Galleger who is the historian of the Historic Caravan Club
The Gillford caravan is much photoed van and has been ralled for many years by Tony Plowright another member of the HCC |
