My first impression was an Alfa or Lancia. Has that type of look about it.

Scotty is right with his suggestion of Ghia, but the XK next to it was the biggest clue.

This car was based on the Jaguar XK140 and was premiered in 1956. It was one of the three closed sports bodies built by Ghia in 1956 on British chassis, two of them streamlined coupes on the Jaguar XK140 and Aston Martin DB2 respectively and the third a "Berlina Victoria" based on Ghia's Ferrari Inter Berlinetta.

Sometimes I even surprise myself! Rolling Eyes

That said, like Greeny my first thought was "Volvo" - looking at the front lights and bumper design all I could see was P1800.

Was Ghia involved in the P1800 design?

That would have made quite a desirable GT car in 1956 pity Jaguar did not take it further. I suppose it was Suez crisis time and a rush for small cars only.
