Yesterday I took the old car to a fund raising event for the RNLI in North Berwick. After a procession of emergency vehicles, bands and old cars through the town we all parked up for public view.
There was a lot of interest, much more than at normal old car events but at one point a man in his late 60s came up to me and in all seriousness and with furrowed brow said to me "D'you take that thing out on the road? It's no got ony seat belts!"

When the memsahib used to use our 1932 Austin 10/4 regularly for shopping, she was asked, on at least two occasions, if she'd owned it from new! She was not amused... _________________ Due to the onset of my mid eighties I'm no longer sprightly and rarely seen in my Austin special. I have written a book though. https://amzn.eu/d/7rwRRqL |

He sounds like an ideal customer for my new business venture. We have seeing dogs for the blind and hearing dogs for the deaf. I'm going to start breeding thinking dogs for the stupid, some people are so stupid they need a dog to think for them. _________________ To Hell with ambition, it drives a man mad, I can scarcely wake up to be fed. |

you should have told him that not only did you drive it on the road, you drove with a gallon pail of petrol sitting in your lap and a lit fag hanging from your lip, whilst wearing welding goggles and eskimo mittens.
bloody sods......
how do some people manage to get old in the first place, being so obtuse? |
