Derek dropped me a line with the following query re Easter Motorbody works - does anyone have any info on the company??

------

"I don't know if you can help me, I am trying to find out details of the above named company or any surviving vans ?
It was owned and run by my grandfather and father pre and post war they made all sorts of luton and service vans and lorry bodies. Factory was sold to Trebor Sweets in the fifties, must have been a fair size site, any leads would be greatly appreciated
Regards Derek Oram"

I had my first joinery workshop in woodford back in late 80s on the green It was originally a garage of somekind as it still had the ramp pits in the floor
but also more importantly it was close to "george lane" which was well known for all the local car workshops to be including the industrial estate
Unfortunately a dual carrigeway got put straight through the middle even cutting off the lovely old "king george pub"
funnily enough I used to use a subbing carpenter called Pete Oram,I wonder if they re related Confused Shocked
