Can anyone help Paul with the dating of his moped?

"Hello, I am trying to find the date of manufacture for a runabout with
the engine number Rxxxxxx so I can register it with the DVLA, as the number plate has been lost.

Tried Raleigh directly but they didn't want to know. Do you have any suggestions.
