Hi and hello I have been drawn to this form to seek advice. I recently lost my father who collected old vehicles. Usuall un restored and awiting his attention is a 1952 A40 Van Column change (Austin of England) which is taking up space in a rented garage. I would like to find a buyer who wishes to restore it, but need advice on where to get sell it. E-bay would seem logical, but do enthusiasts reall look there? I have never seen one for sale, even thoughI have looked for over 12months. I understand they are rare and as this was a runner 6m ago it should make a good project for some one. Can anyone help so I can sell it for my Mum and get her a decent price?
Thanks |

Thanks Rick I haven't yet decided on selling price or method yet though.!
That's why I thought I might get some ideas from people first. No matter though. We shall keep looking and listening, I also have a spare gearbox and 17" wheels and tyres (the gearbox isthe later type, so are some of the wheels) I can see someone is asking £125 for another gearbox on e-bay so that may be the best way. If I do put the van on e-bay I will post a link
I will start her up on Wednesday and do a few bits |
