Yesterday evening, the vintage motorcycle club (and I think one or two other clubs) joined the regular VSCC meet at the Whipping Stocks, near Knutsford. Some penny farthings and other old bicycles were also present.
A huge variety of motorcycles on show, plenty of oldies, and lots of moderns ridden by spectators to the gathering. Some cracking elderly motorcars too, but here are some of my favourite bike pics:

What a great picture of the Scott. I used to own two, both 3-speed, like the pic but neither had an open frame.
Note the drilled holes for lightness. I read of a Scott which had been drilled so much that the whole thing collapsed. The spectator who helped the rider to rescue the bike from the road said, 'Blimey, them holes aren't very strong.' _________________ To Hell with ambition, it drives a man mad, I can scarcely wake up to be fed. |

Great photos RTH, thanks for posting them.
The annual VSCC/VMCC bash at the Whipping Stocks (always last Thursday in July) is always worth a ride out. This was the first I've missed in years, due only to having to be in France as best man at a mates wedding. |
