Gidday I'm Grant, I'v just recently got me a 1954 Morris J Van,
That needs a bit of TLC! I'm an Auto Sparky by trade and have done a bit of rust / panel work so I should'nt have to much trub sorting my new J Van, Heres my blog site not much happening yet though! http://raeltdmorrisjvan.blogspot.com/

Welcome to the forum Grant.

Your idea of sinister looking vehicles is an interesting one. Might be a good thread to start.

hi sgrants, so do you plan doing a nut and bolt rebuild to the J Van? or modify it? looks like a really neat project, I know erindoors really likes the J Vans so I wouldn't rule out buying one one day if I found a good one - I'd prefer the JB with its ohv engine, but condition would be more important than spec I think Smile

Yeah Gonna strip it down and get rid of the rust and take it from there, aiming to keep it looking standard, but repower it with a Datsun 1500 and 5 speed box, I'm going to use the van as a daily driver for my business (mobile auto electrician)

Am I allowed to mention and use as a signature pic my Datsun 120Y station wagon (1978) I personally think it's a classic!
