I will never understand why paintings demand so much money, I mean, how can anyone justify spending £100,000,000.00 (100 million pounds) on a picture, and then hide it in a vault. Yes I know it is an investment, but I just think it is crazy.
Also I will never understand Picasso's work. All these shapes and fuddled up pictures, maybe I just don't have an eye for art.
Now what about this......er.......terrible looking Picasso type Citroen 2CV. It can be yours for the sum on £10k to £14k estimate.
Go on, stick a bit in and look like a proper driving to work
Available at RM Auctions
.......Me bid? No, I'm off to take my neighbours car for a drive, wrap it round a lamp post, repaint half of it with some old cans of paint that are lying around, then stick it in an auction for 100 times more than it is really worth..................................Well that's Art for you
Now where did I stick that ear

Hi John,
I do share your incredulity at the values achieved by art objects but I do like to see visual jokes and would certainly give my support (if not my money ) to people who create them.
In this particular case I'm slightly surprised that the car has a current MOT given that both left and right indicators are on the same side and the headlamps are not symetrical about the centre line.
Perhaps this one has a better chance of passing...
Peter

Yes, these things worry me a lot: I'm trying at the moment to find any reason, or merit, in what passes for poetry these days.
I know I'm going to upset some members of our writers group, but I consider myself old enough to assert: if it looks like rubbish... it probably is rubbish. _________________ Due to the onset of my mid eighties I'm no longer sprightly and rarely seen in my Austin special.
