G'day Rick,

Here is my contribution to the proposed thread on “The Matched Pair”.

The photos are of my 1955 FJ Holden and “Driftwood”... a late 1950's plywood caravan, make unknown.

The first photo was taken during a publicity shoot for a Sydney Theatre company.

This one was taken whilst on a short holiday at Kiama.

A sneak preview of some of the collectables inside “Driftwood”

Cobber.

Any other matching classic car and caravan outfit pics out there?

Rick

Thanks Rick for putting my picture up.

When you bought your Safari caravan new, you could order the stripe to be in any colour to match your car. We have some fun with owners nowadays in trying to identify the car that it was originally towed with.

Talk about a matched pair Rolling Eyes

They're not mine Sad but they do belong to a mate who is also a member of vintagecaravans.com here in Australia.

The 'van is a 16'6” 1968 “Roadmaster Luxury Liner” and the car is a 1955 ford Customline “Crown Victoria”.... total length almost 37'
I hope you like them.

That is tasty, and you've got all that sunshine to to go out in. Don't know which makes me the most envious. Very Happy
