Hi Everyone
I am new to the forum and thought I would say Hello!
I currently own and drive a 26 year old Mini and my husband has a 44 year old Mini (his first car!)
Hubby's dream is to build a "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" style car and I am looking for a vintage caravan to restore, which brings me to my request!

I understand that Thomson had a caravan designed to be towed by a Mini - the Mini Glen.
I don't suppose anyone knows where I might be able to find one of these? Or are there any other manufacturers/makes that are light enough to be safely towed by a classic Mini?
We would love to find a caravan to take to shows when we take the Minis.

Thanks and I look forward to getting to know you all
Helen xx

hello helen, read you article about towing with a mini . not sure what the towing capacity is with a mini , but i own a portafold folding caravan see below.

the portafold folds down to 3ft10in high and only weighs in at 7cwt empty.for more info look at www.portafold.co.uk . they can be towed by minis , wolseley hornets etc. , the main advantage for a small car being no drag when folded. they do come up for sale on e bay and on the portafold website forum.
your other answer , may be something like an eriba puck ( about 10cwt empty) , a small esterel folding caravan or a folding trailer tent. i will have a scout about and see if any other lightweights are out their. cheers gordon Very Happy
ps the other advantage is with the portafold ,they usually use mini 145 x 10 wheels , like mine.
