hello, i have just aquired a 1935 eccles caravan. a welcome addition to my things classic and vintage. it is very sound inside and out, just requiring a repaint externally to our own colour choice!! the interior is all original, but requires a redecoration to a better standard of finish. it has a lovely timber floor, which i will leave exposed.i would think it has spent its life undercover,as the underside is all in good order.it has oak windows, door, side framing etc etc,all in good order under layers of varnish!!!i will post some photos later today.i would love some copies of brouchures, photos or magazine articles to help in the refurb of this caravan.must get back to my work now!!! regards mark. |

hi if your interested i have some pics of your van from about 8 years ago, when i rescued it from a farmers field off jawbone lane near mablethorpe lincs, i also know the history of the van from 1938, i can send this to you on a personal email if would like it, the 49 freeman caravan is a superb van and has never been restored, it was owned for many years by the historian of the historic caravan club cheers...
