Back in 1979 there was organised a small Bedford Rally at the North West Festival of Transport at the old RAF Burtonwood near Warrington in cheshire by the then Vintage Bedford Register.

Now thirty years on the Bedford Register & Drivers Club as that small group became are doing it all again. Burtonowood Airfield disappeared under housing and warehouse developments so the reunion show is being staged on HM Queen's Crown Property at the Cheshire County Showground at Tabley in Cheshire and minutes from the M6 junction 19 at Knutsford.

And the dates are Sunday and Monday 30-31st August 2009, the August Bank Holiday weekend.

This will be a one off major show in the North West and in addition to the Bedford 30th Anniversary Rally, there will be the Bus of Yesteryear Rally, the Northern Classic Lorry Show, the cream of veteran, vintage and classic cars and motorcycles , 999 Rally, classic London & Regional double decker buses operarting local routes, live bands and Tutti Frutti and theSwinging Sixties will live again !

Proceeds to assist the North West Air Ambulance charity.

There is a website coming in December, meanwhile if you or your club are wanting more information then get in touch with northwest-transfest@bedford-world.com

Are there any Vans or Pick-ups in your Marina & Ital Club Ecosse, I have always fancied one, but they never seem to come along when I have some spare cash !

IF you come as a club, I suggest that you write for details of a club stand, there are benefits !

Write to info@bedford-world.com which should bring you a good reply.
