It's official, I've lost it this time or so my wife tells me. She asked what I wanted for my Christmas and I told her. The reply was, are you trying to join some sort of cult? have you flipped? you've lost it big time, how many people are in this cult?
This was what she bought me and I collected it this morning
It's a 1941 Lister D Type originally supplied to Alfa Laval, Brentford on 16/8/1941 and most likely used for a milking machine
Click on any of the pictures to see a movie of it running on youtube

That would look great driving a compressor in that garage of yours
My wife thought I was silly for buying a little 1932 ATCO scythe with a Villiers engine These things we do _________________ www.OldFrenchCars.com

Hi
Like Rick Said, I love engines!
I bought a D just like that many moons ago. Only advice I give you, keep the mag dry, and if it is set to be very cold, take it inside, I have never had to do this, but it is never very cold here.
Now you know you have started something, you will be drawn to other bargains! What you need is a implement to drive, make a geny from a motor perhaps!
Well done for giving it a home, off to watch your video!
Cheers

The engine is sitting next to the radiator in my other garage where the P2 is kept and the radiator is permanently on at this time of year so not much chance of it getting damp _________________ ROVER

That's just perfect - and think, come the next power cut you'll be able to demonstrate just how valuable this little engine it is.
I got a popcorn maker!
