(hope not)

I wouldn't think so Rick, if I remember correctly there were a few of them who had their fingers burned last time _________________ ROVER

I reckon this is purely an article by a "journalist" who doesn't know how on earth to fill his comic up.
I really don't think one can compare the relatively mild early 1990's recession with the global economic meltdown that we've had inflicted on us now!!

The Type 57 Bugatti only made £3,000,000, so there is a possibility you're on the right track.
That said guys, I'm sure most of us remeber the nonsense back in the early 1990's where cars were achieving outrageous sums, even the restoration costs were beyond belief. Only takes one to convince his group of rich friends buying an old car is a good investment and we end up with the "chess board" effect again.
My Chevy is for sale if anybody is interested - appreciating investment - only £34,995 obo. |

I, too, had thoughts of "cleaning out the garage" back when those prices were so obscene. But the missus wouldn`t hear of selling any of it.
Now I`ve convinced her to at least THINK of selling some of it, and the economy takes a dive.
