I have it good authority that, unless the stage design has changed, there is a Safari Caravan on the Brit Awards tonight at 8.00 on ITV.
Before you all wonder why it has a door on each side, it is not a previously unheard of model. The designer wanted it that way and the false door came from my stock of spares!! _________________ Brian

Now that is one of the best things to come out of OZ aye ?
Let us know if the Safari was another of the star attractions on the night Brian.

It is on right now, but they have painted it pink
The Safari is centre stage and they are conducting interviews with the winners right in front of it.
So Safari owners should get 2 hours of publicity for our caravans.
The set designers contacted me last week through my Safari forum to see if I had a spare door that they could fit on the nearside "as that side was a bit bare". I don't think it works as a door, especially as it would open into the loo!
I will have to add this to my scrapbook of Safari Events!
Cobber - for me the Safari is the star of the night, just a shame the aussie lass with the great legs is in the way _________________ Brian

I think thew baby pink they chose suited it quite well. Hubby said that Girls Aloud were pretty good too....... _________________ 1953 Humber Hawk

| BrianM, our Royales have a door on both sides (except for a few 1975s). As you said this door opens into the toilet, but there is a clever arrangement of the toilet door to accomodate this. I'll give you a demo in Belgium. |

Excellent Brian,
I have surfed the net and looked on youtube to see if the 'van was shown and what I found was.... not much
I get the impression that the nominees came onto the stage from within the Safari... is that the way it worked ?
Sure would have been a nice big wrap for Safari..... and I hope the Aussie girl didn't let the side down

Hi
Isn't it a b***er when people (I am tempted to say non entites) keep insisting on standing in front of what you want to get a photo of . |

I couldn't agree more! I have asked the set designers if they have any photos which I hope will be "non-entity free"

Not quite - the blonde in the polka dot dress came out of the Safari to interview the winners, but some of the dresses and egos wouldn't have fitted through the door . The Aussie lass did very well and outshone the d***heads in the red suits whenver they appeared together.

A friend had a Royale a few years ago and so I was aware that yours has two doors, but as the Royale Company was started by two ex Safari employees and they pinched a lot of design cues from Safaris, I didn't think you would mind a Safari returning the compliment!
Besides I wasn't going to tell the set designers - was I? _________________ Brian
