Sat 21/02/09, had a break from decorating & went along to the Severn Valley railway yesterday (Sat 21st Feb 09). I am glad we did, what a fabulous day, the sun shone & there were classic cars & bikes on display at all the stations.
Apparently they hold a simular event in October, certainly one for my diary.
Hope there's not too many pics!!

Sorry Bob 2 must have missed that one nice looking car too. Yes 47 it was a real tonic for us, it was like a warm spring day and i must say all the cars were turned out first class, credit to their owners.

Excellent pictures and some lovely cars... mind you it always amazes me when I see people wandering round these cars with rucksacks and huge handbags bashing into bodywork, there's even a chap with a huge bunch of keys swinging from his belt, I can just see them leaving a nice scratch on someone's P&J |

thanks pa, I just wanted to see it maybe I can get a boost on mine
havent done much on it lately!!
Rich, thats true lots of people do it, even here, last sunday at the meet I found patches of finger prints all over the bodywork and also some idiot walked right in my passenger's side mirror!!!
I cannot understand why people cant keep their filthy hands off , I just go around and look at the other classics but never touch one!!!! |

Don't worry Bob2 i think we all go through the "not touching it" stage, i certainly did. I think its best leave it anyway until the vibes come back, which they will.
Yes Rich i agree it is a concern that there are a few people out there that either have no respect or just don't realise what damage they can do to our classic's. I always try & keep a close eye on things without being too obtrusive. I did have one guy come up to the car & opened the door to get in!! It does make me wonder. I gladly let people have a sit in the car, when i am asked, just a matter of a bit of common courtesy. |
