Hi all,

I was pondering the other evening about the side steps on the Dodge. One option is to paint them along with the rest of it, but I'm not sure how resilient that'd be to boots clumping in and out of the cab. Another possibility is powder coating. Does anyone have any tips on the best stuff to use on parts that will regularly be walked upon?

ta, Rick

Use a good stonechip compound sprayed with a gravity gun not a shutz gun, allow to fully dry then lightly DA with 320, 2 pack primer/filler, wet flatted with 800, finish with the paint of your choice.
This will take a lot of stick, won't crack easily and scufs & scrapes can easily be repaired,
Regards,
Nick

Rick, is this available over there?
http://www.rhinolinings.com/index.php

Gary used it on the '40 Chevy running boards instead of the rubber tread and it looks and works well.
