Hi Dave. Can you help me with a pair of either Lucas SF35 or SF43 trafficators ? I believe that these are the correct ones for a 1937 1 1/2 litre SS Jaguar ?

You could look at it two ways. I was looking for semaphores. I found this forum while looking for semaphores. I would think the more people who find this forum the better.
Does it really matter why people join this forum. I thought just the fact that this forum is available makes it great for everyone. I just happen to find my '48 Austin A40 Delivery Van surfing on craigslist. Now I am hooked. Very Happy

I think all the SE 62's I had are gone, I'll have a look later today and let you know.

Hi,
I have a 1934 Hillman Minx Two Seat Sports Beetle Back.
We have now established as being the only one left running worldwide.
My problem is that the existing trafficators are 6V and in the past when the electrics were updated to 12V they were burnt out.
I have tried to fit 12V solenoids but what with the difference in size and the latching methods, I have b****** one.
The trafficators are external ones with their own casing and measure 8" x 1.75" x .75" and marked 'LUCAS LITTLE TRAFFICATOR'
Can you help with replacement internals or new ones or even ones that are slighty larger.
Thanks and Rgds
Peter

I have loads of these, some new, mainly Lucas and some new spares, (don't have any of the German ones for VW's). I do occasionally refurbish them and stick them on eBay for my beer money!

I also have the Lucas master catalogues from 1930 to 1960 so can advise what your car was originally fitted with.

If anyone needs some get in touch.

Cheers Dave

Hi Dave,

Thanks for you message, it looks a sthough you may be able to help me.

My car is a 1934 Hillman Minx Two Seater Sports 'Beetle Back'
It appears to be the only one one left running world wide.
The trafficators that are fitted are marked 'LUCAS LITTLE TRAFFICATOR'

Ideally I would like the replacements to be 12 V. The existing ones were 6V but have been burnt out by connecting them to 12 V by a previous owner. If they are only available as 6V then I will make up a voltage dropper so that they will work on 12 V.

Please email direct at peter@pjgowan,freeserve.co.uk so that we can make contact by phone to discuss the solution.
Thanks and Rgds
Peter

Hi Dave,

I sent you an email re the Lucas Traficators on my 1934 Hillman Minx two seat sports 'Beatle Back' on March 23 this year.

Can you give me a reference number from your Catalogue and wondered if you've managed to trace any. It is marked 'LITTLE LUCAS TRAFICATOR'

Rgds
