Hi ,
Ive got a chateau mobile trailertent and when it was new in 1965 it cost £ 345.00.
I was born in 1965 so am not sure if that was good or not, does any body have any prices of other trailer tents from that year and caravans, so I can compare . Many thanks Jeff. Wink

Like you i am a 65 and in my mind and hopefully the other halfs a "priceless model" - now back to the topic I have some odd info on prices for cheltenhams
in a price list for our Cheltenham nyala in 1969 it would have cost us £748.0.0. in old money,
some other prices are
1965 Sable was £593.00 then in 1969 it was £705.0.0 and 1980 £5997 this price was a special offer to cheltenham owners as the makers state in a letter that we were in a recession (sounds familiar) and stopping production
a replacement catalogue (for the AA as they had lost theirs) 3/-d each as they had already been sent some free
In 1980 you could have bought new fabric for £4.85 a yard

Well in 1966 you could buy a brand new Mini for £470, a Morris Oxford for £747, Skoda 1000 for £580 or NSU Prinz for £550, so the prices of the caravans were indeed expensive
