Hi all

Rob sent these photos over, wondering if anyone recognised what car this wheel might be off?? possibly a bit unusual, with six stud fitting yet only 15" diameter??

He adds:

"I wonder if anyone can identify an old wheel & tyre i have, it must be of
use to someone.

Dunlop say they have no one old enough to help but that it is very old,
they do not even recognise the tread pattern.

Details are Dunlop 4.40 x 15 - other markings " 9817
" & " WOP 14727"

The wheel has 6 studs

Attached are some pics

Warm Regards Rob Richardson"

Can't help I'm afraid but it can't have been something powerful with only 36 spokes. The only people I can think of might be MWS who sell all types of spoked wheels.

Welded spokes suggest Ford.
Size suggests English Ford.
Could it be Ford Y or similar??

Nope, all the early Fords are 5 stud. It's an odd one , not too many early wires around in 15".....cheers, Col.

This looks familiar

And it is a 6 stud. It's off a Morris 8 series1, 1936. Sorry it's a bit blurry but the paint is still wet and it is a 17".
Pos Austin 7?

mm not sure, would it have needed six studs to hold it on?
