John dropped me a line. He has this Coventry Knight caravan, and would like to find a new home for it. He's also trying to establish what it might be worth?? He adds:

"It is 21'6" long (not including hitch) x 7' wide has original drain down pipes, window stays, clocks (2smiths wind up) bacolite ashtreys, gas lamps some with glass globes, the electro magnetic brakes, (removed for towing by Tractor) has central heating, and has been rewired. Underneath the carpeted floor, is the heavy original linolium, and under that a thick hard wood floor in good shape. It does not leak, (except a bit when I pressure washed it) but if I was keeping it I would re do the 2 circit beads of roof caulking, as it is 18 years since it was last done."

This might be of help,
Andrew Jenkinson's Book "Caravans The Story of the British Trailer Caravan & Their Manufacturers 1919-1959"
Andrew mentions in text and photos at some length about Clifford Dawtreys designs and models, produced for peoples leisure use and commercial, like mobile clinics, banks etc
