There is currently listed on Ebay a 1950 Jowett Bradford. It is all in bits and has a starting price of £1250ish. The justification for this is that the vendor has spent £500 on tyres.
It seems to me to be verging on insanity to purchase tyres more than a week before a restoration is ready for MOT. The things have a best before date!!!
For anyone embarking on a restoration a word of advice: Don't do it! OK you can get a feeling of achievement by looking at 4/5 nice powder painted wheels with nice new tyres, but by the time the job is done you will probably need new ones again. If you need a sense of achievement do a bit of welding or rub a panel down and practice your spraying, but don't spend your pocket money on new tyres - not yet!!

I presume so, but the picture of the wheel shows it sans-tyre so to speak!
