I've got a little side tracked from working on my International. A couple of ago a neighbour gave me a his old Mazda 323F. It was either I rescued it or it was going to the scrapper.
I thought that a little welding and some paint, plus a good clean would give me a nice daily driver. I started looking on Ebay for a few bit's and spotted another 323F that was local to me and had only reached £150 so far. I went and had a look at it and could not believe my eye's. Apart from a damaged front wing, it was a peach with most of it's history and only 31k on the clock.
I knew I had to have it and as soon as I got back home I put my maximum bid on and waited as it had several more day's to go. I waited nervously as the auction end got closer. The price started to rise but was still under my maximum
I got it for £410
I have been to my local Mazda dealer a couple of times to get some parts for my daughters car (also a Mazda) and on each occasion several of the sales staff came out to take a look. They all told me that it was the nicest one of that model they had seen in years and one of the best models Mazda made. To say I was chuffed is an understatement.....
Just had to sort out the damaged wing....
The only thing it needed was a good security device !!!!

Got yourself a deal there fella!
Always liked that shape, Mazda always manage to find that little something that makes their cars stand out. I was looking seriously at the new Mazda 6 Estate in black to replace the Merc, however the Golf Mk VI pipped it at the post.

There are some great low mileage cars going to scrappage at the moment
I've just seen a 17000 mile Volvo 740 in mint condition and a Saab 9000 with 59000 miles and not a blemish on it in the scrappage scheme _________________ ROVER
