Silly question time.
I painted my camper van with enamel some while back. How do you stop paint skinning over in the can during storage.I even tried decanting the remainder into smaller tins and it still skinned over.Whats the best way to stop it?.

Blimey that was a quick reply!
I'd heard of that but never tried it,to be honest I thought it was an old wives tale.
I'll be ordering some more soon and I'll give it a go.Thanks.

Put a layer of cling film over the paint in the tin.

Id o cover the tin and lid with wide masking tape and it usually works fine, used to turn the tins upside down before but than once the lid wasnt closed properly and an almost full tin (about 2 ltrs) of surf blue cellulose fell on me when trying to take it off an upper shelf not realizing that the lid had stuck to the shelf!! Embarassed

said shelf is stil a shiny blue Laughing (perhaps shinier than the actual car the paint was destined for)

Fill it into a screw-top jar. Like a jam jar or anything bigger. And when the top is screwed on properly, turn it upside down to make sure no air gets in.
