I've noticed a lot of places don't stock the old fashioned rubbing down compound anymore.Health and Safety?.People been sniffing it?.
Can anyone suggest another way to get a shine and blend in fresh acrylic paint ?. |

so many different items on the market these days,it`s hard to keep up.
the latest craze is to"clay " the paintwork!! what`s all that about?
Bring back the good old farecla paste---hard work--but it did the job.

Clay bars are for removing the dirt before cutting the paintwork.
Fareclaa is still very much available and the choice of most paint shops.
The only problem with Farecla is that it really requires to be machined to allow it to break down and do the job thoroughly.
Depending on how much you need to cut back you should start with G3 (course) or G5 (medium) and finish with G10 (very fine) _________________ ROVER

It is still made,by Car Plan. Not in tins but what look like big toothpaste tubes (I imagine it might polish your molars but wouldn't do the indigestion a lot of good).
I suppose there just isn't the demand for it anymore which is why not many places stock it. |
