Hi

If any of you have Diesel cars, just make sure you are using it, or have fresh winter stuff in it! Various of the tractors we have have waxed today, you want to try moving them, when you can't tow them! hehe

I thought all diesel had the additives years ago to stop it freezing.....Dont know much about the red stuff mind you

Red is the stuff in the tractors!

The supplier says it has additives in winter, but we got a bulk load in September time.

Years ago in the Royal mail we used to add paraffin to the diesel to stop it freezing.....It didnt always work

I used to put a couple of gallons of petrol in my truck tank every time I filled up to stop waxing in the winter

Hi

The idea anti waxing agent is heating oil at a ratio of aprox 25 heating oil - 100 diesel, or kerosine can be used at 5 kerosine to 100 diesel aprox.

Also if it is still having trouble starting in the morning, I will firstly change the filter and get the steam clearer on to give it a warming, incase the pipes etc have clouded too. Couldn't do it today as a it was dark, and b the water has frozen, no taps, and no toilets!

They said diesel Spec changes month to month, witht he cloud point going up and down. The of course you can get several different types, Alpine being one.
