Hello, First post on here. It was suggested I do a post to check log so here goes.

I am in the process of looking at a 1938 Opel Kadett and just want to know if anyone else on here has a pre-war opel.

Can anyone let me know how easy/difficult it is to get spares for these. Especially consumables as I intend to use the car.

Hello

He is not in here, but as far as I have understood his dad is restoring one.
Maybe you can write or call him.

Dont know if he can english, but his number is: +4550994379
Sms or call him, its a 1937 he has.

He might know something.

I also seem to remember something about a Moskvich 401, should have many identical parts, and one of the old vauxhalls.
I dont know if I remember right, but it was worths checking.
The Moskvich 401 looks quite similair to the kaddette.

Hello,
I have 2 Kadetts. KJ36 and KJ38. First from 1936 and second from 1939. But I´m not working on them at the moment. So I can not give you a lot of advices. The first kadett KJ36 which I have is interesting. Car was tuned and improved, a lot things on this car are not original unfourmently. With spares is just a little bit problem. It´s hard to find spares that you need but It´s not impossible. I have found a lot of things but as I said I´m not working on Opels at the moment. I have to finish my Renault Dauphine R.1090 1961 at first.
