In a bid to make my garage look as olde-worlde as possible, I'm interested in any old tins, oil pourers, 2 gallon petrol cans, signs, petrol cans, cardboard boxes or whatever that might have once been found in a country garage. Pls drop me a line if you have anything going spare!! I wouldn't mind finding a reasonably priced petrol pump too.
You can get me either via the main site, here at the forum, or at the email address below.
Ta
Rick

| It's a modern reproduction and fairly widely available - a quick look on the internet shows the cheapest one at £13.99, so a tenner? Never used, it just sat on my shelf in my flat after buying it at Brooklands so in mint condition. It's a two pint can, so should be good to go for using for it's intended use |

Try local auction houses, (not ebay as the good ones are expensive and the others are unsafe and ready for the scrap bin)
I bought mine from a auction house that does repossessed goods from companies that have went burst. It is a 2005 model and hardly used, everything is like new on it with no wear at all.
Also avoid anything that is made in China as spare parts are very difficult to obtain _________________ ROVER

Hi Dave,
You wouldn't happen to have an Austin A30/35 grille badge lying around would you?
Cheers

I have recently taken delivery of two different reproduction vitreous enamel garage signs. The first is 'Castrol XL as recommended for your Austin', and the other is 'Fit & Forget' KLG Spark plugs to your Austin. I have only had 15 of each made, and they are manufactured to a very high standard.
The cost works out at £85.00 each plus £7.50 P&P (UK). I also have a few remaining garage-wall thermometers - also vitreous enamel. one features the 'Motor for the Million' - Austin 7 Chummy, and the other the Austin 12/4 'Clifton' tourer. These work out at £75.00 each plus £4.50 P&P (UK). for further information and pictures. please e-mail me on: james.stringer@sky.com
Cheers. Jim. |
