|
|
Although I have only been using this forum for a week or so I have been amazed with the responses to the questions I have asked.
]However my very serious one is that I am looking for a four seater Bullnose Morris and would be grateful if anyone hears of one for sale.
I have lots of backup from the Bullnose Morris Club whose members will offer plenty of advice on a purchase.Mind you I have three in the dining room the only problem they are Dinky models!!!
I'm busy reading a 1925 book "Motoring for Women" by John Prioleau which tells me how to set up the tool and spares box I will need and says
"It is an excellent thing to be able to decarbonise your own engine in three or four hours work but it is a job that requires the greatest possible care" it then goes on to say " if you plan to travel abroad choose a car that has detachable head".

Thanks for this..I would do this the moment I have one.Dont worry I would not buy any vehicle without using the expertise ,knowledge and experience of my new aquaintances in the Bullnose morris club.
However thanks for offering the info.

Hi Pat,
You may already be aware of these, but Thornfalcon Classics in Taunton has a four-wheel braked Bullnose 4-seater - nice but very pricey at £18,000, and Grundy Mack in Malton (North Yorks) has a 2-wheel braked 4-seater at £13,000, if you can live with bright yellow bodywork
Happy hunting,

How kind of you to bring these to my attention.Yes I do know about both .The pale green one at Thornfalcon Classics is beautiful but beyond my price .The yellow one I just could not take to .Patience ,they say is a virtue ..I am trying hard to be! It is just a question of waiting.
Pat
Many thanks..Pat |

Pat,
A Bullnose Morris Cowley has appeared today on CarandClassic.co.uk. It is to be auctioned by Brightwells (Herefordshire) with an estimate of £8500 - £9500.
