|
|
On holiday in Spain I came across an old Fiat some years ago. I returned there last week and it's still there.
It needs a good carpenter and a panel-beater eh?
Does anybody know what it is?
Cheers

Looks like a 503. Much squarer radiator surround than the earlier 501/502.
Or a 519...520 series..!
Saw this 502 when in Italy a few years ago...
Happy to be corrected though. Notice the right hand drive of both cars..why did they change?? |

To me it looks like a Fiat from 1925-1935.
Proberly a 521 model, or a 514.
Let us here if you find out _________________ 1938 Ford 10 7W

The late Micheal Sedgwick was the expert on Fiats, I'm afraid my knowledge of them is limited, but perhaps the car is a 507 or 509, circa 1926
This is a 509

It could also be a 503.

Thanks for all your efforts. I checked everything out and just using the number of bonnet louvres (28 on the Spanish model) as a landmark, it can only be the Model 509. A second distinguishing feature is the 'square' grille profile and its radiused lower trim to clear the starting handle. Again, only the 509 has both features (louvres and radiator grille).
Finally, there's the bonnet side-panel hinge line. Again, this matches that of the Model 509 only.
So now I need to check whether it's a two seater, a four seater, a commercial even. But its little SOHC engine looks sweet from the photos I found here:

Not an easy project and miles from home too.
Thanks again for your expert help.
Cheers
