Hello all,
I am in the process of refurbishing my daily driver.....a 1952 E494a Anglia....rebuilt all the ancilleries and the interior is really clean but...I am so bored of black paint I have had her ten years and I am sick of it...
I know originality is important to most people, especially for resale but at this stage she is staying with me and I just need a change.
I would like a light or dark grey like the Vulcan grey of the 100e, but I would love a military colour scheme.....does anyone know if these cars or the later 103e were ever used by the military...?????
I would love to know...
Best regards,
Shane. |

I've never seen any either......
I seems surprising to me that no military services seemed to use them as they were so damn cheap......?????
I would love to hear from any foriegn contributors but I don't think it sounds very likely they were used.
The closest I have found were Cologne built Taunus and Eifel models used by the Germans in WW2....but then again they were mobilising just about anything that moved. |

I can't say I've seen one in service colours, but have you tried contacting the Owners club as they have extensive archives?

All the best,
